The Facilities Committee reviewed its summer maintenance work on Sept. 8, 2025. Committee member Derek Hilliard reported that the team completed more tasks than anticipated, with most work handled in‑house; painting in several areas remains delayed because of high summer temperatures.
Minutes note that Carlos cleaned rooftop HVAC units at a substantial cost savings. An HVAC compressor part for Ms. Honaker’s classroom has been ordered and is expected to arrive in about six weeks; committee members discussed purchasing spare compressors to reduce future downtime but noted that warranties begin at the time of purchase, creating a tradeoff in stocking spares.
Other completed repairs listed in the minutes include threshold tile replacements at doors 1 and 2, filling a ramp crack at room B154 with adhesive caulk and expansion joint material, elementary classroom countertop repairs, and painting of Patt Patt Gym.
