The Board of Education voted Nov. 18 to engage Baker Tilly Advisory Group for tax-consulting services tied to the Ravinia geothermal and HVAC project. The engagement was described as a multi-phase effort to document eligibility and prepare workpapers needed to claim Investment Tax Credits (ITC) or Production Tax Credits (PTC) under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022; the estimated investment for the Ravinia engagement is $142,500.
District staff said a key objective is to secure bonus credits, including those tied to domestic-content criteria and other available incentives. Mr. Lasko moved to approve the agreement and Ms. Butler seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The engagement follows prior Baker Tilly approvals for other district sites (Braeside, Sherwood, Wayne Thomas).
