Following executive session, the board returned to open session at 6:36 p.m. and recorded three substantive motions: a finding that Student No. 25-05 was guilty of gross misconduct and an expulsion for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year; a motion to hold that expulsion in abeyance while administratively transferring the student to the Tazewell County Regional Safe School and placing the student on probation for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 school years; and a motion to adjourn at 6:39 p.m. All motions passed by unanimous roll call vote with six yeas and no nays; Amanda Stimeling was noted as absent.
