Creve Coeur schedules chili supper, museum visits, spelling bee and graduations

Mr. Thompson reviewed a range of upcoming school events and volunteer activities. The Chili Supper is scheduled for Feb. 20 from 5:00–7:30 p.m.; Costco reading volunteers began Feb. 10 and the volunteer reading program will continue for 10 weeks. Kindergarten through fourth grade will visit the Riverfront Museum during the week of Feb. 9; dental sealants were applied to participating students on Feb. 3; and Valentine's Day parties are scheduled for Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Thompson asked the board to approve a Kindergarten graduation on May 13 at 1:30 p.m. and a fourth-grade promotion on May 15 at 1:30 p.m.; the board agreed to both requests. He also proposed termly Honor Roll celebrations for the 2026–27 school year (breakfast or ice cream social), which the board approved in principle. For an October 2026 overnight trip for the 7th/8th grade boys' basketball team, the board said any reservation fee must be paid from the boys' basketball activity fund.
