Board signs off on spring coaches, unified basketball stipend and small scholarship transfer

The Moriah Central School Board approved an extensive spring-coaching slate and related athletics items on April 15. The appointments include Casey Nephew (Varsity Baseball), James Langey (Varsity Assistant Baseball), Donald Tesar Jr. (Varsity Softball) and others; the board also approved Melissa Larrow and Bailey Pombrio as co-leads for Unified Basketball on a 50/50 stipend split.
Separately, the board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the MCTA, effective March 18, 2025, relating to the Unified Basketball contract stipend for 2024–2029. The board also approved a $200 transfer from a non-expendable account to an expendable account to fund two Doug Anson sports scholarships. All motions are recorded as carried in the minutes.
