Board appoints custodian, accepts resignation and updates substitute list
Summary
The board appointed John Saunders as custodian effective Feb. 18, 2025; accepted Anna Mauran’s resignation effective Feb. 14, 2025; and added Anna Mauran to the substitute list earlier in the meeting with a roll-call vote recorded as 6–0–0.
After routine business, the board voted to accept a letter of resignation from Anna Mauran from her Food Service Helper position effective Feb. 14, 2025. The motion to accept the resignation was moved by Mrs. Gilbo and seconded by Mr. Malbon; the minutes record the motion carried with all in favor.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved additions to the substitute teacher list, including Anna Mauran; that motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded as 6 YES, 0 NO, 0 ABSTAIN. Later, on a motion by Mr. Winters seconded by Mr. Harlow, the board appointed John Saunders to the position of Custodian in accordance with the CSEA agreement, effective Feb. 18, 2025.
Personnel items were handled in sequence with a separate executive session called later in the agenda to discuss personnel and CSE/CPSE recommendations. The minutes do not record debate or questions about the hires or resignation.
