The Morehouse Town Board approved Resolution #25-8-4 authorizing purchase of playground mulch for the recreation center on Aug. 12. The board also acted on an insurance inspector's recommendation to add safety surfacing around the swings and voted to reduce the swing set from four swings to two to comply with safety guidance.
Supervisor Anthony Fernandez said the insurance inspector indicated mulch was needed around the swing set for safety. "Nobody had any objections" when Fernandez asked the public and board members about downsizing the swings; William Uebele moved to downsize the swing set and Brian Taylor seconded the motion, which carried.
