Morehouse approves shared bookkeeping contract, moves away from EBS to QuickBooks

The Morehouse Town Board voted Feb. 11 to approve Resolution #25-2-1 authorizing a shared services contract for bookkeeping and payroll.
Supervisor Anthony Fernandez reported that Hamilton County Accounting Service (HCAS) is having problems with the town’s payroll and invoice software, Enhanced Business System (EBS). The resolution and a separately approved contractual line (Resolution 25-2-3) were presented to enable the town to stop using EBS and contract bookkeeping and payroll functions through QuickBooks; officials said once QuickBooks is operational the town will be able to perform payroll, audits, invoice payments and direct deposit there.
Mary Ann Mosher moved to approve Resolution 25-2-1; William Uebele seconded and the motion carried with the recorded vote showing all present board members voting in favor and one recorded absence.
