Town officials told the board on Dec. 10 that several building repairs and replacement projects are planned for the coming months. Supervisor Anthony Fernandez said the Recreation Center ceiling "will be finished very soon" and that porch repairs will be performed in spring; he also told members the town is waiting until the local fire department's Christmas/awards dinner before cleaning the Recreation Center kitchen.
Fernandez said boiler repair for the Recreation Center will be deferred until 2025 and that he is "looking for 2 more Quotes" to replace furnaces at Town Hall and the museum. The board did not vote on a specific contract at the Dec. 10 meeting but discussed timing and budgetary sequencing for the repairs.
