The City of Picayune council on Aug. 4 recognized multiple city employees for service during the city manager report. The city manager said the employee-recognition program has completed a successful year and thanked Rouses Markets for sponsoring gift certificates; the manager announced the Public Works recommendation and recognized Anthony Moore for "going above and beyond."
Mr. Harvey, speaking for Public Works, praised Moore's responsiveness to after-hours water-line calls and described him as a reliable employee: "Anthony consistently goes above and beyond," he said. The council also presented the 2026 employee-of-the-year certificate to an employee identified in the meeting as Taylor; a council member thanked Taylor for going "above and beyond" in supporting city operations. The presentation was followed by brief remarks and a round of thanks from council members.
