"The applicant, Miss Dana Coxmall, is seeking to rezone the property located at 109 Railroad Street," a planning staff member reported, noting the property sits in Ward 2 and Canton's historic district. Staff said the only proposed alterations are interior and that any future exterior work would require a certificate of appropriateness from the historic preservation commission.
Staff also told the council the city's fire marshal requires a full life-safety review if occupancy changes. The mayor opened and then closed the public hearing after noting that no one had signed up to speak. Staff said the council could expect possible action on Sept. 3.
