River Forest School District 90’s Board of Education convened a special meeting on Sept. 16, 2025, at Roosevelt Middle School and approved the meeting agenda by roll call vote. "It was moved by Mr. Ehart and seconded by Dr. Isenberg that the Board of Education approve the agenda as presented," the minutes state; the motion carried with ayes recorded for Ehart, Avalos, Mackey, Bevan, Vlerick and Isenberg.
After approving the agenda, the board voted to move into closed session to discuss matters related to the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees and related issues. The minutes say the motion to enter closed session was "moved by Mrs. Bevan and seconded by Dr. Isenberg" and that the roll-call vote was unanimous. The document notes three representatives from the superintendent search firm BWP were in attendance and that there was no community participation during the meeting.
The meeting minutes record the board moving into closed session at approximately 6:02 p.m., returning to open session at about 6:53 p.m., and later record that the meeting adjourned at approximately 6:20 p.m. The minutes therefore contain an internal timing discrepancy between the reported return from closed session and the adjournment time; the district’s official minutes reflect these times as recorded and do not resolve the inconsistency.
