The Board of Education for School District #90 in River Forest held a public budget hearing on Sept. 16, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt Auditorium. Mrs. Katie Avalos, President of the board, opened the hearing and announced that "the public hearing as advertised would proceed." The board noted the presence of Dr. Eric Isenberg (Secretary), Mr. Josh Ehart, Dr. Kristine Mackey, Mrs. Beth Vlerick and Mrs. Katie Bevan and senior staff including Dr. Ed Condon, Superintendent.
Mr. Anthony Cozzi, the district recording secretary, told the audience that "a notice of the budget adoption hearing was published in a local newspaper at least 30 days in advance of the hearing" and that the proposed budget had been available for public inspection at the Administration Building for the prior 30 days. He said that, by statute, the board must hold a public hearing before final adoption and that the legal budget will be filed with the Cook County Treasurer's Office and the Illinois State Board of Education. Mrs. Avalos invited public comment; none was offered. With no further discussion, the Budget Hearing was adjourned to the Regular Board Meeting.
