Fire board adopts annual debt-management update; district reports no debt

Susan (staff) presented the annual update to the Fire Protection District Debt Management Plan, the indebtedness report and the capital improvement plan and told the board the documents are updated with the latest assessed-valuation numbers for state filings due in August. She said the fire district currently has no debt.
Commissioners asked about statutory debt limits and the presenter gave a dollar figure the district could legally incur. The board moved to approve the presented debt-management policy and associated reports and voted in favor by voice vote.
