The board was reminded that the district typically constructs budgets conservatively (estimating higher expenditures and lower revenues) and that figures often improve between the tentative, original and amended budgets. A public hearing on the FY26 Original Budget is scheduled for Sept. 22, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., giving the public an opportunity to review and comment before final adoption.
Dr. Gordon’s presentation and the numerical details were the principal facts discussed; board members did not amend the tentative budget during this meeting and will consider the Original Budget at the September meeting.
