During the Aug. 12 SB 7 RIF Committee session, members reviewed whether to establish an alternate definition for Group 4 that would factor in prior performance evaluation ratings while excluding teachers with recent 'Needs Improvement' or 'Unsatisfactory' ratings. The committee marked the questionnaire to indicate they considered the option but did not reach agreement, so the default statutory definition remains in effect.
The minutes show the committee placed an "X" by the option indicating no agreement was reached and explicitly recorded that they would not create an alternate definition for Group 4. Committee members completed the questionnaire item and proceeded to the next statutory checks. No motion or roll-call vote was recorded on this item.
