The City of Monroe Common Council approved several license committee recommendations during its meeting, granting a Class A liquor license to Busy Bee Floral LLC for premises at 1605 10th Street and approving Class B liquor licenses and transfers related to Leisure Lanes operations.
When asked about the business model for Busy Bee Floral, a council member clarified, “This is carryout only.” After that clarification the council voted to approve the Class A license for the location with the license committee’s recommendation. The resolution lists the license effective period for Busy Bee Floral from 02/03/2025 through 06/30/2026.
The council also approved a resolution authorizing the issuance/transfer of a Class B liquor and fermented malt beverage license to Sledzen Lanes LLC (DBA Leisure Lanes) upon the transfer of the business and relinquishment of the existing license, and approved a separate original Class B license to Svensson (Svedden) Lanes LLC dba Leisure Lanes for premises at 2308 6th Avenue as recommended by the license committee. Those items were presented by the license committee and passed by roll call with no extended discussion.
