During new business Council Member John Lyons reported that outside wall covering is falling off the Town Hall and said he will contact a contractor to explore repair options. No purchase or contract was approved at the May 7 meeting; the item was advanced for follow-up.
During public comments Town Clerk Robin Carr asked about a downed tree in the cemetery. Supervisor Jack Thompson said he has someone who will remove the tree for $400, and Council Member Joseph Trappler asked to meet the Supervisor at the cemetery to review additional trees that might need removal. The board set no additional budgetary allocations at the meeting for cemetery maintenance beyond the noted $400 removal.
Why it matters: building envelope problems can lead to increased repair costs if not addressed; cemetery tree removal is a near-term, modest town expense and may require further review for additional work.
