Suburban EMS reports 972 dispatches through June; second-highest county call volume

Barbara Reilly, Executive Director of Suburban EMS, and Tim Werkheiser, Director of Operations, presented their semiannual report to the board.
Reilly and Werkheiser said from January to June Suburban EMS recorded 972 dispatches and that the unit-on-scene counts were 801 Suburban EMS and 65 mutual-aid responses, for a total of 866 units on scene. “Percent of all Suburban EMS calls in Northampton County: 16.50%,” the presenters told the board. Amy Blum requested more detailed reporting in future updates.
Township officials did not take any formal action on the report; it was received for informational purposes and will be included in future oversight conversations about emergency-service needs and budgeting.
