Staff reports Hawaii project and Jackpot High School moving forward; rough-ins nearing completion

District staff reported that the Hawaii School construction is progressing with framing, roofing and rough-ins in place and that Jackpot High School engineering plans are about 90% complete; staff said some soil and change-order issues were being resolved.
Project staff provided a construction update saying the Hawaii School project is moving forward and largely on schedule. "No project's moving forward really, really well. I'd say we're kind of ahead of schedule right now," Matt Stolke said, describing framed internal walls, exterior work, and progressing HVAC, plumbing and electrical rough-ins.
Stolke also said Jackpot High School's mechanical upgrade design plans are nearing completion at about 90% and that the district expects to "shelve those" plans while doing a study to determine final scope and timing. Staff said soils issues and change orders had arisen but were being addressed while work continues.
