The Stockbridge Select Board appointed Kevin P. Brown as a career firefighter paramedic during its Aug. 6 meeting after the department presented his qualifications.
An official from the fire/EMS service introduced Brown and said, "I'd like to present Kevin P. Brown... He's been a member of the fire department now for a few years. He obtained his paramedic recently. He's been a supervisor at Southern Berkshire Ambulance operating at a supervisor level." The presenter also said Brown completed his physical and PAT test and has been accepted into the Freedom Academy in November.
Following the presentation, a board member moved and seconded Brown’s appointment and the board approved it by voice vote. Members asked that future candidate resumes be supplied to the board in advance so members have background information before votes on appointments.
