The Stockbridge Select Board on Aug. 6 approved multiple one-day all-alcohol permits for community events this summer and into December.
Maria Ryan, the town administrator floater, read the permit requests and times for Aperture Botanical Garden: "August 15 from 12 to 3, August 28 from 5 to 9, December 4 from 5 to 7, December 5 from 10 to 2." The board also approved a one-day license for a Chesterwood wedding on Aug. 12 from 4 to 11 p.m. and a rock event on Aug. 15 after members clarified the event’s scheduled hours.
Board members moved and seconded the motions for each license and approved them by voice vote. There was brief confusion over the rock-event time (discussed as either 12–3 p.m. or 1–4 p.m.) before members confirmed the event details. The approvals were routine actions taken during the consent portion of the meeting.
The board’s actions mean alcohol service is authorized at the named dates and times; any event organizers must comply with state and local licensing rules and conditions attached to one-day permits. The Select Board recorded the motions and approved the licenses by voice vote during the meeting.
