The committee heard details for the 26th annual San Joaquin County diversity luncheon. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the County Agricultural Center on Heart Avenue. Ticket price is $20; the luncheon will be catered by Mirati Eats, and the keynote speaker will be Dr. Lakeisha Little Shaw, identified by committee staff as a community leader and wellness advocate.
EEO staff encouraged committee members to take active roles in the event, including helping to serve food so employees see committee members' faces and to take ownership of the event. Tyler will handle ticket purchases and staff said they will circulate an all-staff email and follow-up messages to committee members about participation and ticketing.
