The Randolph County Commission approved several fiscal items and contracts during its Feb. 5 meeting.
Commissioners approved a reimbursement resolution to move $16,809 in previously paid Starlink costs into a Country Road(s) Leasing lease so the county is not double-paying. The Commission also approved a one-year IBM maintenance contract for the Sheriff’s AS/400 system in the amount of $5,525.11.
Separately, the Commission approved a Fire Service Agreement enabling the Tygart Valley Volunteer Fire Company to pursue a $359,000 pumper truck purchase through Country Roads Leasing. The commission also approved multiple budget actions: an in-house state EMS grant revision for $1.00, a $10,000 state pass-through grant for the Babe Ruth concession stand, and a $438,961 state budget revision to move funds between lines to cover year-end needs. Each motion was moved and passed unanimously.
