The Arundel Planning Board on Aug. 4 advised Corey Sterling to prepare a formal submission if he wishes to proceed beyond the pre-application review. Town planner Natasha Kippur and board members requested a deed or purchase-and-sale agreement to verify title and asked that the next plan include dimensions of the existing commercial structure, engineered driveway and septic/well details.
Board members emphasized the applicant should not spend on engineering until direction is clear but also noted the applicant needs timely guidance to decide whether to contract an engineer. Sterling said he has an engineer lined up and would submit required documentation; staff said they will help him navigate the submittal requirements and that the examining engineer should confirm septic/well feasibility and exact driveway location. No approval or permit was issued at this meeting; the board will reconvene on receipt of the formal application and engineered plans.
