The Prospect Heights Board unanimously approved the district’s 2025–26 Strategic Plan goals on July 7, 2025. Administration presented a goals-and-actions package developed from stakeholder feedback; Spencer Long moved approval and Tracey Morrissey seconded the motion, which passed 7–0.
The plan lays out multi-domain objectives: student success (curriculum review, tiered interventions, expanded extracurricular options), teaching and learning (recruitment, leadership development, an AI policy and professional development), family and community partnership (communication tools, newcomer engagement, targeted transition supports) and facilities and financial management (long-range financial planning, capital project priorities and cybersecurity initiatives). The minutes note specific operational items—Full-Day Kindergarten planning, targeted classroom construction (Eisenhower addition), HVAC and cabling work, and a continuing furniture replacement cycle—to be aligned with the financing timetable.
District leaders framed the plan as an implementation roadmap for instruction, equity and facility readiness; the board adopted the plan as the guiding statement of priorities for the coming school year and directed the administration to return with implementation details and budget alignment as needed.
