Board adopts three-year MOU for sheriff's management unit with 3% annual increases

Haley Hudson presented a resolution to adopt a comprehensive MOU with the sheriff's management unit and an accompanying salary-schedule amendment. Hudson thanked Lieutenant Pershing and Lieutenant Towers for their collaborative approach during bargaining and told the board the agreement was reached in two meetings. "Under this 3 year agreement, employees covered under this MOU will also receive a 3% increase each year of the MOU," she said.
The chair moved to approve the resolution and the clerk conducted a roll-call vote recorded in the transcript; the motion carried and the three-year agreement was adopted. Hudson said the settlement reflected collaborative bargaining and fiscal responsibility, and she offered to answer questions about the resolution if board members had any.
