The Siskiyou County Local Agency Formation Commission approved an annexation related to the previously adopted sphere-of-influence change. Planning Division staff said the annexation is straightforward because the land is vacant and within the amended sphere.
Staff identified parcel owners as Richard Evans (city parcel) and Tom Wilmar (county parcel) and explained that, following the annexation, a 30-day protest period will run before the annexation becomes effective. The commission opened and closed the public hearing with no in-room comments and passed the motion by voice vote.
The annexation was recorded in the packet as LAF 2301 and staff indicated required government-code findings had been completed. The commission’s action will be processed for any remaining statutory notice or protest procedures.
