The Lawrence County Planning & Zoning Board reviewed and approved several preliminary and final plats and lot‑line revisions across multiple subdivisions.
Matters included simple lot consolidations and boundary corrections; the board granted exemptions from fire‑plan requirements where the existing fire plan covered the lots. The board approved a plat contingent on the county commission approving a related vacation at its next meeting; staff said the plat will be pulled from the immediate county commission agenda and placed on the Aug. 25 agenda so the vacation and the plat can be considered together.
Multiple motions were handled by voice vote and carried. Staff reminded applicants that final engineering and required signatures (for example, road district signoffs) must be provided before county staff files final documents.
