Bedford County Museum to install new signs after Lynchburg Community Trust grant

Leslie Mahaffey, who works at the Bedford County Museum, told council on Aug. 4 that the museum received a grant from the Lynchburg Community Trust to replace signage and obtain new banners highlighting historical figures connected to Bedford County.
Mahaffey said the banners were produced by a local company and will be delivered to Tom Woodard in Public Works for installation. She also said the museum is assisting volunteers who want to post additional banners downtown, including displays about historical churches.
The museum's update was offered during the "appearances before council" portion of the meeting; Warner noted the museum is located on East Main Street in the 200 block, adjacent to Town Hall.
