The Select Board voted on April 13 to convert the existing America 250th Celebration group into a town-appointed committee, making its minutes and donations official town records. Selectperson Mike Pelczar moved the action; after a second, he offered an amendment to retain the same members currently serving on the committee, which the board approved. The motion carried with all members voting in favor.
Manager Judie Milner will notify Chris Kelly and follow up with committee organization and town accounting procedures so donations flow through the town’s financial controls.
