Police Jury sets Oct. 14 public meeting on ad valorem tax renewal; November meeting moved to Nov. 10

Parish Administrator Courtney Hall announced a public meeting to be held Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, to consider adopting a resolution ordering and calling an election to authorize renewal of ad valorem taxes for road construction and maintenance. The announcement was made during new business and recorded in the minutes; the action will precede any formal resolution vote.
The Jury also agreed to change its regular November meeting date because of the Veterans Day holiday. Courtney Hall recommended moving the meeting to Monday, Nov. 10; Annette Straughter moved to approve the change and the Jury voted unanimously. The minutes also include an announcement of an upcoming board and commission vacancy for the Lincoln Health Foundation.
