Lincoln Parish moves to reallocate bridge funds, recommends Diamond B Construction for bridge work

The Finance Committee recommended amending the 2025 Bridge Replacement and Road Improvement Fund to remove the Rabb Road Bridge Replacement Project, producing a $548,466.00 credit to the fund; the recommendation was reported by Finance Chair Dan Lord and the committee minutes were approved. The Public Works Committee recommended awarding bridge replacement bids on Shady Grove and Mitchell Roads to Diamond B Construction for $1,089,899.00, contingent on concurrence from the Office of Facility Planning & Control (FP&C). Committee minutes were approved by the Jury.
Greg Williams, reporting for Public Works, also noted other committee recommendations: awarding a surplus property bid to JJ Merchant, deleting Talmadge Road from the 2025 Capital Improvement Program and replacing it with Edwards Road for chip seal, and approving a preliminary plat for the Ruston Lincoln Realty Subdivision. Municipal aid items recommended included street repair for the Village of Choudrant, monthly boom truck service for the Town of Simsboro at $250 per month, and road striping for the City of Grambling.
