Council referred Order 8-69, a proposed $2.5 million loan order to fund the design of a new water treatment facility, to the Budget & Finance committee of the whole. The referral was made to allow committee members time to prepare questions and to give staff time to assemble detailed materials before a full discussion on the financing and project scope.
The budget committee chair said she has compiled a list of anticipated questions and asked colleagues to send additional items by Monday, August 10, ahead of the committee meeting scheduled for later in the month. The chair noted the committee is aiming to spread out and better prepare for the water treatment topic, which the city has identified as its largest near-term capital ask.
