Staff briefed commissioners that Pico de Ferris, a company expanding from South Carolina, is under contract to buy lots in the Commerce Park and requested an extension of its due-diligence period while county permitting and Department of Health review are completed.
Staff said the company plans to build a facility in the park and is advancing through permitting; because the Department of Health reassigned a reviewer the company’s permitting timeline was delayed and staff recommended approving the requested due-diligence extension to allow the purchaser time to proceed through the revised review process.
No formal vote on a land sale was taken at the briefing; staff said they are working with the company as it completes permitting steps and will return any purchase agreement or closing items to the board when ready.
