Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb reported concerns about training costs, saying that after reviewing the budget and training requirements she did not see how the town could pay for a budget committee member to take a class this year. She raised the training-cost constraint as a budget pressure point for the board to note.
Liscomb also updated the board on Lobster Festival arrangements, saying the parade is large and that organizers added a car show and cornhole games on Friday night. She noted she will sign paperwork for a Rural Community Development Opportunity with HCPC. On a public-safety note, Liscomb reported newly installed floats do not have enough flotation; she said M. Young would inspect them to determine repairs or adjustments.
