The consent item was moved on the floor, the council conducted a roll-call vote and recorded seven ayes; the motion carried and the street-closure permit was approved.
Organizers noted this is a long-running event and vendors are on a wait list; the council thanked organizers and encouraged coordination with public-safety agencies.
