During the Feb. 17 City of Pateros meeting Assistant Fire Chief Kerry Heen summarized recent calls for service and training efforts. Fire Chief Scott Robinson said the department has identified deficiencies in how fire and EMS personnel would respond to a live-shooter event and indicated that the city may need additional interagency planning, training or resources to address those gaps.
The report was provided as part of routine department updates included in the council packet; the minutes do not record a formal council direction or vote tied to the identified deficiencies.
