Pateros council adopts Water Use Efficiency goals; staff says budget impact limited

At its Feb. 17 meeting the City of Pateros City Council adopted Resolution 2026-06, which formally sets Water Use Efficiency (WUE) goals for the city.
Councilmember Holly Bange moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember Chantel Poole seconded. Councilmember Frank Herbert asked whether adoption would affect the city budget or staffing; Administrator Jord Wilson and Nathan Hutchens of Varela Engineering said the adoption would have limited effect on budget and staffing. The motion carried unanimously as recorded in the minutes.
