The Daggett County Commission voted April 7 to adopt Ordinance 26-10, increasing the County Assessor's 2026 salary from $67,053.00 to $97,053.00. Commissioner Jack Lytle moved to adopt the ordinance; Commissioner Randy Asay seconded and the motion carried.
County staff said the additional pay is intended to cover duties overseeing construction of a new clinic building. The ordinance amends Ordinance 25-21 (Establishing Salaries for 2026). The public hearing on related salary ordinances opened and later recessed during the meeting; the Assessor salary change was adopted following the hearing. The commission recorded a unanimous vote in favor.
