Hardee County EDA adopts FY2025–26 general and recreation budgets

Rogers said the proposed budget reflects currently earmarked projects and reserves; she noted that if severance tax receipts in April align with the current estimate, the EDA could have up to about $3.8 million to distribute next year but that the board typically waits until April to confirm receipts before committing those funds. The board moved, seconded and approved the budget resolution (Resolution 2025‑2) adopting the general and recreation budgets, providing severability and an effective date.
Rogers also noted five projects have final payments and are at zero balance, which influenced presented figures. The board approved the resolution unanimously.
