Stevenson (district staff, S4) told the board, “It's it's $7,000 a year for 4 out of 5 years, and then that, 5th year, we have visits,” and said travel and lodging for visiting reviewers add expense. Board members acknowledged the accreditation previously provided an external review and public relations value but debated whether the district now receives comparable oversight through state processes.
