Board recognizes students, celebrates athletics and Homecoming events

The board recognized Beach Middle School Student of the Month Harper Kies and Chelsea High School Student of the Month Dane McCarley. Student liaisons Bradley Dunn and Wyeth Angus recapped Homecoming events and fall athletics; Dunn also noted the Chelsea Theatre Guild will present White Christmas on Oct. 18–19.
Administration reported the district’s fall count on Oct. 1 was 2,291 students (an increase of 33 from spring). Athletic highlights included conference championships and individual recognitions across swimming and diving, football, girls golf, boys soccer and boys tennis. Board members praised staff and students, and thanked volunteers and PTOs for event support.
