BLDC received four proposals for a Montana Tech-affiliated accelerator; committee scoring due Aug. 14

Kelly Sullivan told the committee BLDC put out an RFP for a potential business accelerator to operate in conjunction with Montana Tech and received four proposals. "We put out that request for proposals and we got 4 submissions. Scoring by the committee is due by August 14," Sullivan said, noting a Headwaters Tech Hub representative helped develop an online scoring portal to evaluate feasibility and operator options.
Sullivan said the feasibility study will address whether Butte needs an accelerator, where it should be located and who would operate it. Commissioners asked whether funding sources are already identified for any of the proposals; Sullivan said funding is part of the planning and remains to be finalized.
