CTE millage for Washtenaw ISD to appear on Nov. 4 ballot; Chelsea stands to retain CTE spending if it passes

Superintendent Kapolka told the board that the Washtenaw Intermediate School District will place a one-mill Career and Technical Education millage on the Nov. 4, 2025 ballot. "The CTE Millage will be on the November 4, 2025 ballot for voters in the Washtenaw Intermediate School District service area," she said.
Kapolka explained that passage would expand PreK–12 CTE and, for Chelsea specifically, could mean roughly $350,000 per year of general fund dollars currently spent on CTE would remain in the district. The board did not take a formal vote on endorsing the millage during this meeting; the superintendent’s remarks were informational to prepare trustees and the public for the upcoming ballot.
