“Just to make it known to everyone, this water is not for fighting the fires. This is potable water for the crew members to drink,” Commissioner Fisher said during discussion before the 12–0 vote. Commissioners heard the item was urgent because the fire is ongoing and crews need potable supplies at their camps immediately. Commissioner Morgan moved to concur and place the communication on file; the clerk recorded 12 yays, 0 nays.
Staff asked that the agreement be routed and filed so crews could access the services without delay. The action was added to the agenda under an emergency-suspension motion earlier in the meeting; commissioners voted to suspend rules to allow immediate consideration and then voted to concur and place the communication on file.
