The Facilities Committee of the Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Trustees met Feb. 11 to review six facility options and a financial overview; the administration identified Option 4 as its preferred recommendation and will present the proposals to the full Board on Monday.
Consultant Brendon Pollard of Kingscott told the committee that "the Department of Treasury requires updated enrollment projections as part of the application process." Committee members reviewed enrollment figures that included both in-person and virtual student counts as staff and consultants examined maps and floor plans. The group also discussed refining the district's overall vision and noted consideration of a potential Early Childhood Center.
Trustee Eddie Keene asked for a comprehensive list of district-wide projects to accompany the presentation to the full Board, and committee staff noted a target to submit the Treasury application by December with a possible public campaign launch in February or March 2027. The committee scheduled its next meeting for March 4, 2026 at 8:05 a.m.
