Superintendent Dr. Kelly Coffin presented a DEI Dashboard she said summarizes Farmington Public Schools’ efforts to reduce racially motivated incidents, expand culturally responsive curricula and increase student and staff engagement in DEI initiatives. Board members asked questions during the presentation that district staff addressed.
Dr. Coffin and Assistant Superintendent Rhonda Henry then reviewed the Strategic Planning Dashboard, which the district presented as tracking progress on four goals: innovation in teaching and learning, student health and wellness, equity and culture, and professional learning. The update cited increases in foundational skill readiness, improved student attendance, expanded access to advanced coursework and higher teacher participation in collaborative professional development.
Assistant Superintendent Rhonda Henry and Director Margaret Hendrickson presented a District Improvement Update focused on the 2024–25 District Improvement Plan and the district’s teacher-growth investments, describing a 'PAN' approach (Positioning, Authenticity, Noticing) to instructional improvement and planned future analyses of student performance in literacy and mathematics.
