Marysville board hears hiring recommendations, schedules approvals for Sept. 25; principal retirement noted

Assistant Superintendent Charles Mossett presented personnel recommendations to the Board of Education on Sept. 17, including a hiring recommendation for David Frendt as a Marysville High School math teacher and appointments of Alexandra Jowett as MMS principal and James Cottone as assistant principal at Marysville High School. Mr. Mossett told the Board these appointments would be brought for approval at the Board's regular meeting on Sept. 25, 2025.
Mossett also shared the retirement request of Jay Schultz, Marysville Middle School principal; the minutes record Mr. Schultz’s last day of work as Aug. 27, 2025. The personnel items were provided for Board review and will return as action items on Sept. 25. The minutes do not record further discussion or votes on those personnel items at the Sept. 17 meeting.
