Monroe council sets meeting date for Feb. primary week and adjourns

"...we now have a observed holiday on that Monday the 17th, so we will not be have on that week, we will be having the council meeting on Tuesday the 18th," said a staff member (S3), who added they would likely run the meeting while 'Nick' attends the election.
A separate speaker (S7) clarified the scope of the primary on the ballot: the only item affecting the city election was a state superintendent runoff and primary eligibility depends on candidate counts and seat availability.
The meeting concluded when a committee member (S1) moved to adjourn, a colleague (S5) seconded and the chair (S2) asked "in favor say aye," after which the members responded and the meeting was adjourned.
